ConneXion Family News Updates
Joy's knee surgery yesterday was
successful. She will be at Greenview for about 3 days and then will
recuperate at SKY Rehabilitation Hospital. Heather is staying with the
Bitterlings while Joy recovers.
Our ConneXion Leadership Team meeting
will be this coming Sunday (January 13) at the Bitterlings. We'll meet
at 11:30, bringing in lunch --- earlier than usually, because some have
evening commitments.
FYI - The facility has been reserved for
the afternoon of Sunday January 20.
Two young couples attended our Financial
Peace preview showing Sunday afternoon and registered! There's still
time for you and/or your friends to register, but we need time to get
materials in. We'd like for registrations to be in by this Thursday,
Jan 10, if at all possible.

You may have heard by
now that Lauren Jessen's father passed away in New England this week.
Although he had been
in ill health, his death came suddenly and unexpectedly. The funeral has
been scheduled for Friday.
The family in Maine
has asked that flowers only come from the family (you can't bury people in
the frozen ground this time of year, so there's nowhere for the flowers to
go). We will monitor that and if it is deemed appropriate, we'll send
flowers from the church as a whole.
Otherwise, if you
desire to express your sympathy in tangible ways, taking food in to the
family when they return is a nice custom. Also, taking the time to write a
personal note in a card has a big impact at a time like this.
I've included a link here to
her father's obituary. Don't hesitate to call Debbie (779-1919 or
393-8817) if you have any questions. She's staying in close contact with
Lauren.
